Hey church family! Here’s what you need to know for this week Sound City.
CELEBRATING | PARTNERS IN THE GOSPEL
This past Sunday, Sound City Bible Church had the opportunity to hear from guest speaker, Rabbi Matt Rosenberg of Restoration Messianic Synagogue. Speaking from John 5:1–18, as well as sharing details of his recent trip to Jerusalem and the Pool of Bethesda, Rabbi Matt was able to encourage us to develop a deeper understanding of Jesus' ministry through the Holy Lands. We believe it is important to build strong partnerships and relationships with other members of the body of Christ, creating opportunities to listen, learn, and celebrate what God has done for his people.
THIS WEEK AT SOUND CITY BIBLE CHURCH
THIS SUNDAY’S SERMON | JOHN 5:19–29
This past Sunday, we saw that certain Jewish leaders were upset by Jesus healing the man at the Pool of Bethesda. Specifically, they were upset that Jesus was “making himself equal with God.” This upcoming Sunday, we will look at John 5:19–29 and how Jesus answers this charge. In these verses, Jesus gives us a “peek behind the curtain,” so to speak, with a look into the inner life of the Trinity. And we will also see how God offers us nothing less than the eternal life that he has within himself. Read ahead, pray, and come prepared to study God’s Word!

As Christians who desire to build gospel-centered friendships with our non-Christian friends and neighbors, the Super Bowl marks one of the great invitational opportunities we have each year. Whether it's with your Community Group or just with your next-door neighbors, we'd invite you to consider who you might prayerfully invite to spend Super Bowl Sunday with you. You might even invite them to church with you that morning too. KIDS MINISTRY | SERVING OPPORTUNITIES
Our Kids Ministry has a really good problem—there’s tons of kids that show up every single week to learn about Jesus! But the problem we’re facing as we grow, is not always having enough Kids Ministry Team members to serve all the kids showing up each week. That means we could really use your help. We’d invite you to prayerfully consider if God might be asking you to join this awesome team of volunteers committed to helping all the kids of Sound City to increasingly know, love, and live for Jesus. Please prayerfully consider serving in this important ministry, then when you’re ready, fill out the Kids Ministry application.
