Sound City Bible Church is a regional church, which means we have Covenant Members and attenders from all around the north Puget Sound region. However, our church gathers for worship in the city of Shoreline. To be even more specific, our church gathers for worship in a Shoreline School District facility. Because of that, we want to be a blessing to the district, and especially to those families who may be in need of support. Generosity is a great way to share the love of Jesus with our neighbors in the Shoreline area. As we begin to think about students heading back to school (already?!), we are excited to partner with The Back To School Consortium, an organization which provides supplies to students in the Shoreline School District to outfit them before the school year begins.
How Can You Help?
You can help by either bringing school supplies to Sound City on August 9- 23, or by donating money directly to The Back To School Consortium.
If you want to donate directly, you can mail a check (The Back to School Consortium c/o Center for Human Services, 17018 15th Ave NE, Shoreline WA, 98155) or you can donate online: www.btsconsortium.org. It typically costs a family at least $30 – $75 to provide school supplies for a K-12th grader as well as $15 to provide new socks and underwear for a child.
If you want to donate school supplies, you can drop off donations at the connect desk on Sunday or in the church office Monday – Thursday during normal business hours. Here is a list of needed supplies:
