With the school year in full swing, Sound City Students relaunched for the fall on Wednesday, September 18th. We asked Sound City’s Student Ministry Director Chris Vaughn to tell us a bit about the evening and how to get involved.
The day before classes began at Lynnwood High School, volunteers from Sound City arrived at 6:30am. The church hired a coffee truck with Pilgrim Coffee and served breakfast to around 150 staff and teachers as a way to demonstrate Jesus’ love, our appreciation for them, and our commitment to pray for them this year.
August 31st was a double header with the Family Hike and the annual Golf Scramble. The Golf Scramble is a great event to build relationships with other folks from church, with a neighbor, or a friend. We are thankful to God for this time of ministry, raising funds to bless our community, and the opportunity for some fun and relaxation on the course.
