Ramadan and the Gospel

Ramadan, which begins May 26, is the most important holiday for Muslims and the central feature of their year. During this month, adherents to Islam devote themselves to fasting, prayer, and self-denial. As we live in a very multi-ethnic and multi-cultural part of the world, it is very likely that most Christians know someone who will be observing Ramadan in the upcoming weeks.

You are invited to join us on Monday, May 22nd at 7pm to learn about the intersection of Ramadan and the gospel. We are excited to welcome James Rayment as our special guest presenter. Originally from England, James moved to Seattle in 2011; he and Pastor Aaron spent time together in the same ministry training program that year. James is an elder candidate at Downtown Cornerstone Church and a future church planter that Sound City supports. He is currently on staff with CRU as a missionary to the campus of UW. There he has developed many relationships with Muslim students, and has been invited by the Muslim Student Association on several occasions to present a Christian perspective in various interfaith events.

If you want to learn more about Islam and how we as Christians can demonstrate Christ’s love to Muslims, then join us for this special event. You can join us live at the Sound City offices by RSVP’ing at scbc.do/ramadan (space is limited, no childcare available). If you prefer to watch online, then watch the live stream at facebook.com/soundcitybiblechurch
