About the Series

Besides the book of Psalms, no other book of the Hebrew canon is as often quoted or alluded to by the New Testament writers as the prophetic collection known as Isaiah. And because of its incredible technicolor portrait of the promised Messiah, the book of Isaiah has long been referred to as “the fifth gospel.”

Isaiah also pulls no punches when it comes to pointing out the compromise, sin, brokenness, and need of the people of God. But he also is determined to point out how the Anointed One (Messiah) of God is truly the only hope for the whole earth.

“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, because the LORD has anointed me… ”

Do you struggle to believe that God will forever rejoice and be glad in you?
How does God’s word describing the New Heavens and New Earth compete against or complement your earthly desires?
In what areas of life do you reject the hope that God offers?
Discuss ways you can grow in Godly imagination.

Prayer Points:

Repent of the ways you seek to build your own kingdom that competes against the kingdom of God.
Pray for the people of our church to be filled with the hope God provides through his promises.
Pray for the Holy Spirit to help and spur you in excitement to share the gospel message.
