At the beginning of November, we announced an effort to raise money to purchase a vehicle for the church. As a setup-teardown church, we have relied on the personal vehicles of covenant members to transport our equipment each week. We are so thankful for the generosity of these members!
As we looked into what vehicle to purchase, the decision was made to pursue something specific: a vehicle that was strong enough to pull our heavy trailer, but also something that had enough seats for Student events and other church activities. With that in mind, we asked the people of Sound City to give above and beyond toward a goal of $20,000 for this van. As we wrapped up the giving campaign last week, you all exceeded our goal and gave $22,014.
On Tuesday, Pastor Jamin and church treasurer Dale Kaemingk purchased our new van.
We are so thankful for your faithfulness and generosity, church family! Join us in thanking God for this new resource that he has blessed us with. More importantly, pray that this new van would be used for God’s glory. We want to see it used to further his kingdom by helping with Sunday services, Student events, beach baptisms, missions, and community outreach. Praise God for his provision!
