A few times a year we set aside a Sunday morning to focus on praise and prayer. July 7th, we worshiped God and pressed into the idea of Our Weakness, His Strength.
We were so blessed to have both Pastor Shane Patrick and Stephanie Hansen with us in person, not to mention sharing their testimonies of God’s faithfulness during their times of trial. Pastor Shane has a brand new heart after his recent heart attack. Stephanie is continuing to trust God as she deals with an ongoing health crisis sparked by a brain tumor. Both shared poignantly of the realities of pain and hardship and weakness, but pointed us to their hope and comfort – that God is our strength, that he loves us!
“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
