  1. How does the connection between Christ’s first advent and second advent help us understand our place in the story of redemption? How does this connection give us hope?

  2. Where in your life do you struggle to hope? Where is your hope weak? Where is your hope mere “wishful thinking” instead of gospel-grounded hope?

  3. Discuss how God’s past action and his future promises give us hope for the present.

Prayer Points

  1. Pray that we would be people of great hope no matter how dark or broken things may appear to be.

  2. Pray that God would use us to share the hope of eternal life with those who have yet to believe.
