Is there anything better than getting to deliver good news? In this sermon from Luke 1, the angel Gabriel gets to deliver the best news of all time to Mary. And this good news is still spreading throughout the earth to this day!

  1. How did the good news come to you? Who was the messenger who delivered it? Share the basics of your salvation with those in your group.

  2. Gabriel comes to Mary with a message of favor/grace. Why is this grace the foundation of all our belief and practice as Christians?

  3. What wrong beliefs about angels have you had? What additional study should you do in order to think biblically about these divine messengers?

  4. What might keep you fearful about sharing the good news with other people? Are there ways in which the news needs to be made new to you again?

Prayer Points

  1. Pray that we would respond to the good news of the angels with the same heart and obedience as Mary.

  2. Pray that we would share the good news with as much joy and passion as Gabriel.
