Do you tend to think of sin as a power in your life? What implications does this have for how we fight sin?
Which tactic of sin do you most recognize in your own life?
What could an unchecked sin pattern grow into? What freedom might confronting it bring?
What makes confession difficult, and who could help you bring a struggle into the light?
How does knowing you have God’s favor in Jesus give you strength to fight sin?

Prayer Points

Ask God to expose hidden sin and help us take its danger seriously.
Confess where we have blamed others or withdrawn, and ask for courage to repent and seek help.
Thank Jesus that his blood speaks a better word, and ask the Spirit to help us fight sin from the security of God’s favor.

Reach One

As we continue to grow as Thoughtful Witnesses, we’re inviting everyone to “reach one” person that’s far from God by praying for them by name daily and engaging them in some way monthly (see the page below for ideas). To help encourage one another in this season, we’re asking each Community Group to discuss the following questions at least monthly.
