About the Series

Christmas is such a major cultural phenomenon, but how often do we stop to evaluate cultural thinking, attitudes, and actions around Christmas?

Every year, popular Christmas carols are heard and sung by people everywhere. The melodies are catchy, and the words are forever etched into our minds. However, some Christmas carols contain lyrics or themes that don’t actually map onto the teaching of the Bible.

Through this playful sermon series, we will allow some of these carols to drive us to the scriptures to see what is true and beautiful about the birth of our Messiah Jesus.

The people [in Berea] were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, since they received the word with eagerness and examined the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.
— Acts 17:11
