Sound City Bible Church is partnering this Christmas season with Vision House to provide gift cards for families in need as part of their “Home for the Holidays” initiative. For 25 years, the Vision House has worked hard to provide safe and confidential transitional housing and services for homeless children and their families. Additionally, they also help homeless men who are recovering from substance abuse. One of the Vision House’s facilities is located right near our church building in Shoreline. We are excited to partner with them in December to provide resources and support in the name of Jesus’ love!
Here’s what you can do. Beginning this Sunday, stop by the Giving Tree in the lobby and grab an ornament or two. Each ornament is labelled with a recommendation for a gift card that can be used by families in need for food, clothing, transportation, or other needed resources. After you have purchased the gift card(s), bring them back to the connect desk along with the ornament. It’s just that simple. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16, emphasis mine).
God has given us his grace and mercy, the gift of salvation that we could have never earned! Let’s seek to bless this organization and these families by letting God’s generous love overflow out of our lives into theirs.
