This month we celebrated the successful Fall Kick-off of our Sound City Students. On Tuesday, September 29th, the Students began meeting in person again for the first time since March. On that night, we celebrated the opportunity to meet together and resume this important ministry. We celebrated with personal pizzas, games, prizes, and getting to meet students and leaders who are new to Sound City Students.
Since that night, we have met each week and resumed much of the regular rhythm of the students ministry including small group meetings. We truly value these small groups as an important part of what we do at Sound City Students. These groups allow the students to dig into the Bible more deeply with their peers and apply God’s truths to their everyday lives in a safe environment guided by a caring adult leader. It is also within these groups that students can share more of their personal lives and pray for each other on a more familiar level.
We have seen great participation from our students at the weekly meetings and we look forward to all the ways that God will allow us to serve the students and their families as we move forward together.
If your child is in 6th-12th grade and has not yet joined us for Sound City Students on Tuesday nights, we want to invite them to jump right in. Any night is a great night to join us. If you have questions, I would love to talk with you any time.
