Building Update | September 2020

If you've been coming around on Sundays for our service on the lawn or you are still streaming from home, then way to go! It's crucial for the people of God to worship Jesus as his gathered people. Toward that end, we will be giving periodic building updates on this page as we are taking steps to begin worshiping in the building.

Building Team

There are five people that serve on the building team. John Fox, our Administrative Pastor, Davin Clauson and Dale Kaemingk, members of our Financial Accountability Team (FAT), Steve Jones, one of our elders, and Hector Caiazza, who has a wealth of experience in design and drives the aesthetics.

First Indoor Service Timeline

2020 has been an unpredictable year! Still, with God's help, our church hopes to hit a deadline for having our first worship service in the newly renovated building on November 1, 2020. Much of this goal comes from seeking shelter from the rain in the coming months. Because of this, we are looking to do minimal upgrades to the worship center to get into the building this fall and then do more upgrades next spring according to a more comprehensive master plan.

Work Parties

Many of you are eager to work on the building. Good news! We have a number of work parties you can help out with. Some of these work parties need the help of the whole congregation and some require more specialized skills. Here are the big parties we've identified so far.

Donation Party #1 (9/6) - The first big work party we have is moving what's in the worship center to trailers to donate to other individuals and families who will need them.

Consolidation Party (9/13) - On this date, we need everyone to pitch in and help consolidate what's in the rest of the building into the worship center so that we can expedite the renovation process.

Donation Party #2 (9/20) - This work party is similar to the first one in that we need to donate extra things in the building we won't be using, but this move will also enable us to put the finishing touches on the worship center so that we can meet the deadline of November 1, 2020.
