Discussion Questions

  1. Have you ever experienced betrayal or unfaithfulness from a friend or loved one? How did that affect you? (Note: please share honestly, but don’t give place to gossip or slander. Consider sharing the story but not using names.)

  2. When have you been unfaithful to Jesus, even in a way that was surprising to you? How did you feel? How did you respond? Share this experience with your group.

  3. How can we help each other to trust less in our faithfulness and more in Jesus’ perfect faithfulness? How will this actually help us to be more faithful?

  4. When we’re honest about our failures, it actually helps us to share the gospel with non-Christians. How and why is this true?

Prayer Points

  1. Pray that we would trust more deeply in Jesus’ faithfulness, and by doing that, we would become more faithful followers.

  2. Pray that we would witness to a watching world, not by being “perfect disciples,” but by pointing to a perfect Savior who loves us despite our failures and unfaithfulness.
